Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" area. This West Island, to those who have never heard of it, is a vast area that extends from Lachine all the way west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is often referred to as her birthplace. It is true that she stayed there for a short time. Brugel lived in Courtice located just outside of Oshawa. In her early years she wanted to be a performer but an unexpected growth spurt made it impossible. In an article written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall and wears heels. When I surpassed the size of my male companion, I stopped. Former dancers often turn into acting. In the instance of Brugel,, it was an urging by her teacher in drama. She was recommended by a teacher to find a role in the school's annual show. She was the teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the school's annual production. She was awarded an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program, where she graduated at the age of 20 with a degree of Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Since then, Brugel has been in over 60 productions both big and small. The most notable was when she landed Rita's role in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in The Handmaid's Tale which was produced over the course of ten years.
